Connecting to nature and humanity through story, art, and exploration.
Christopher Dean - Collaborative Furniture
Christopher is committed to designing pieces that fit seamlessly into his clients' lives and spaces. He wants them to feel a sense of ownership in the design process and, ultimately, to create furniture that’s so well-crafted it becomes a family heirloom—passed down from generation to generation. This approach resonates with me deeply, as it's similar to my own philosophy in photography. It was truly inspiring to hear about his journey toward this vision.
Hamish Jackson - Tradition
Hamish Jackson honors the tradition of making things from local materials and takes time for each item his customers enjoy. In my interview with him (below), he mentions how incredible it is that clay takes such a long time to form in nature. He collects it and turns it into usable form. Then, he castoff wood from local wood companies, chops it, and fires his pieces in a huge kiln for days with other potters.
